Kutter's Landscaping

Kutter's Landscaping

We met Mr. Kutter (real name - perfect for a lawn business) when he had this simple clipart logo. We suggested adding a more realistic "underground" element to help convey that grounds maintenance has to do with what is underground as much as what we see above ground.
This was his first partial wrap.
Check out the safety boots, gloves, ear plugs and glasses. As if the huge mower on the left isn't enough equipment, this office "lawn" requires a second man! I superimposed the Gulf Shores skyline behind the office building to help explain this customer message: he is the most professional lawn maintenance business on the coast.
The look of his brand matured as his business grew, taking on a much more professional appearance.
One day Mr. Kutter came in wearing this "Rat Fink" style t-shirt and sporting a pink soul patch. He is active in the tourism and business events of his community, including the breast cancer awareness events which explained the pink patch. The t-shirt was just for fun, but he said he wanted us to wrap his personal truck with this crazy look so we created a character that looks just like him (and his fire breathing lawn mower).
Of course his manager required his own character and a riding mower..
This box truck continues the theme and incorporates a strip along the bottom of Mr Ron mowing, mowing, mowing. He finishes and climbs on top of the truck to see his handy work: he cut his name out of the lawn!
The business has grown so big he has quality control managers making sure every detail is taken care of.
We refined the look of the logo for the next set of trucks. Adding to his commercial accounts, he now provides his services to residential communities. We decided a slightly more "mom and kid friendly" look would be more appropriate. The products and services would need to be spelled out (in pictures of course) so we took a totally new approach to these wraps.
Along the beaches of Gulf Shores, pelicans are everywhere. This is how Kutter's Grounds Maintenance fertilizes lawns quickly.
To illustrate "landscape design" Mr. Ron said he wanted his character digging a hole to plant palm trees. It seems while he was busy digging, the landscape itself picked up a pencil and began designing on the blueprints. The little one in the middle hopped up to hold the paper blowing in the breeze when suddenly they all got caught!
And we all know what little ones say as they stretch their hand up high: "I am going to be THIS big!"
Irrigating lawns is wet work so the yellow duckie suit is a must!
Kutter's next vehicle will be a 1950's Cadillac hearse! He said he will dress up in a tux and advertise "yards to die for." We added the tombstone.
